For Halloween, Juniper was a bumbly bee. (No, it wasn't the same bumbly bee costume that we stuck the dog in last year). This is one of the few photos of her full costume.
Omigosh! Takeitoff! Takeitoff!
ahhhh, much better.
Our neighborhood had a Halloween party at the playground a few houses down from us. Juni-Bee was too little to play in the haunted bounce house or enjoy the face painting, so she flapped around in her swing, watching all the other little, sugar-buzzed kids running around in their costumes. She loved it. Charlie and I stood around like awkward newcomers, hoping someone would talk to us. mmm, uncomfortable social situations with complete strangers. I'm so good at those.
While the winter squash soup was a-simmering on the stovetop, we took Juni for a little trick-or-treating stroll.
Juniper managed to snag several pieces of candy even though we kept saying that she is too young. She would like to point out that she has yet to see any of the aforementioned candy. She suspects a Mama gobbled it all down that very night. I have no comment on the matter.
